So you want to build a Shipping Container Home? ContainAccra is Proud to offer a Full Experience Educational Build Program. In our Workshops each Building Phase will be broken up into a Hands-on Multi day Instructional Build where you will learn the skills and steps you need to preform your Build like a Pro! You will not only leave more informed, but also with Real-world experience. There is no better way to learn than by doing. Our workshops are perfect for Beginners. No previous experience is required.

News for the Container Crew
A ContainAccra build day typically runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. primarily on Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays. It is not uncommon for everyone to hang around, relax, and ‘Container Talk’ for a couple of hours after the workshop on Saturday.

No construction experience is required and ContainAccra provides all of the necessary tools. Applicants must be at least 16 years old (16 and 17 years must be chaperoned by an adult), Wear closed-toe shoes, and Come dressed and Ready to work!
Construction Crew
ContainAccra welcomes group and individual applicants who want to work in support of Shipping Container Home construction in our community. Working on the build site with our organization is a great team building experience, promotes camaraderie, and has many positive benefits. Construction experience is not required. Build site opportunities are limited and we will only accept a limited number of applicants when there is availability.
Construction Supervisor On Site (SOS)
​Are you an individual who likes to work with your hands and can lead large groups? Do you have good interpersonal skills, are safety conscious, and are willing to learn ContainAccra’s construction techniques? If so, you may be interested in volunteering as a SOS. No building experience is necessary, but power tool competency is a must. ContainAccra’s SOS lead the Container Crew in daily construction tasks and help provide them a safe and rewarding experience.

Volunteer Opportunities
While ContainAccra Workshops take place on a regular basis, We also host special volunteer opportunities in local communities like yours that may suit your particular interests.
These include things such as a focus on Beautification & Renovation of Homes and Neighborhoods, Youth Involvement Activities, Green-building practices, Women Build events, Beach Clean Up, & among many others.

Consider this an occasion to meet new people while strengthening your community by building safe, affordable housing. You’ll have the ability to improve the lives of people, work alongside other Container enthusiast, Learn different skills or advocate for affordable housing. In fact, there are numerous benefits when it comes to volunteering.
